Although this review is being posted later than intended, I wanted to make sure it was done because this place truly deserves the praise.

A couple of weekends ago, my girlfriend and I came here for a delightful Sausalito brunch. Despite not being located directly by the water, we took a pleasant walk from the pier, and the experience was well worth it.

The staff members were exceptionally friendly. The atmosphere felt like a family-owned establishment, and I just had such a positive time eating there. They were happy to help answer our questions and checked in on us every now and again to make sure we were having a good meal.

For our brunch, we ordered the 'Fat Fred' - a fried French Toast with banana and candied walnuts, accompanied with a 'side' of Fred's Hash Browns. We also indulged in the bottomless mimosas; I got the bitter (grapefruit) and she got the classic (orange).

Honestly my only suggestion would be to consider elevating the Fred's Hash Brown to a main menu item. I believe it could become what the place is known for (if it is not already).

Thankful to those working at Fred's for an amazing brunch and hope to eat there soon again.

Good food for the prices. I had the citron French toast which was good and different. Vanilla latte was too sweet for me.

Food was great! Hash browns were crispy without telling them, scrambled eggs were fluffy, Fred's sweet bacon was delectable, and switching the side for a French toast was worth it. Service was quick, food came out in no time. The place is cozy and have some outdoor seating. Will definitely come back when in the area.

If you went for a big hike, you best treat yourself to a hardy and delicious breakfast at Fred's Coffee Shop afterward! We could tell this is a local favorite since the place was packed with people standing around waiting for a seat. It's small and has that mom&pop vibe. The wait wasn't too bad and the food made it all worth it. Sitting outside was no biggie since they have outdoor heaters to keep you and your food toasty. The deep fried French toast was a table favorite, even though we wished it came with more than one fat slice. Although they were busy and on the go, multiple servers overlooked us, particularly when we needed something -- ha!Overall a great experience for a double date!
